Resume Support for Repro Workers from ReproJobs
Hey there!
My name is Kioshana LaCount Burrell, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the ReproJobs resume coach! The changing legal landscape around abortion across America has understandably created feelings of stress and unease for the wonderful advocates on the front lines of this industry. With that in mind, we want to encourage you with the knowledge that ReproJobs is here for you. In addition to the helpful resources and advice available through our website, workers who are experiencing job insecurity may now connect directly with me for one on one coaching and guidance as you prepare to re-enter the job market.
I am a certified career coach with more than 12 years of experience in the career development field, having worked with clients of all backgrounds in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. My approach to career coaching and job search is a holistic one, focusing on guiding clients in imagining their ideal life, and then building strategies for career pursuits that work with that ideal as the goal. In this role, I look forward to connecting with you to identify pathways forward for you (whether inside the reproductive health and justice industries or externally) and create avenues to pursue available opportunities. The work you do is incredibly important, and it is my goal to support you through this transitional period while honoring the importance of your work and acting as a partner in finding your next role.
If you are a repro worker who would like to take advantage of resume coaching services, please fill out this form or contact me at Coach@ReproJobs.org.
Over the next few months, I will facilitate a series of workshops aimed at addressing the primary needs of job seekers in today’s climate. These workshops will cover topics such as resume development, interviewing, networking, and salary negotiation. It is our goal to not only assist you in finding a new role, but to ensure that any new role you take on is one that aligns with your values, career goals, and financial needs. Subscribe to our newsletter to get the most updated information on when we’ll host these webinars.
I look forward to connecting more with you all individually in the coming weeks, and thank you for your work in advocating for the health and rights of women (and other people with uteruses) everywhere.
In solidarity,
Kioshana
